After conducting our straw and paper compression tests we came to some conclusions. We found out that the rolled up piece of construction paper could hold approximately three and a quarter pounds of pressure until it gave way and folded in. We also came to the conclusion that the plastic straw could hold approximately one and a half pounds of pressure until it eventually gave way and folded in half.
